Development teams are driven to deliver properties and hand them over to Lettings and Sales teams within target times. However, the handover of a new unit into management is more than just about getting the physical property built.
In order to get the property charges accurately estimated, it is key that detailed information is given to the service charge team long before the expected handover date. Service charge teams, here are three things that can help you:
Make sure you're involved with new developments at an early stage
Ensure there is shared tracking of new developments as they progress through design, build and handover
Set up standard proformas to be completed by the Development team so the required information is clear
