Statistical data return

When you're enjoying a quiet moment in service charges, working on improvements... and you're disrupted by requirement to input into Statistical Data Return (SDR).

All Registered Social Landlords with over 1,000 units have to complete SDR annually by end of May. You know what that means... more heavy lifting for rents & service charges. We have a few tips for making SDR less of a mountain to climb:

• Ensure regular reporting during the year, including exception reports and reconciliations to the most recent SDR so you can track movements

• Have verified reports set up in advance of the work commencing

• Be clear on roles and tasks in completing the process

• Start the process in good time, allowing space for issues to be resolved before the deadline
